In the United States, it is a fundamental legal principle that ignorance of the law is no defense. Yet, ignorance of the law is a 100% reality that has led to the mass incarceration of far too many, especially people of color. Think about this. Where did you learn the law? . . . If you are not a lawyer, chances are you are still pondering the question.

CRIME NO CRIME was created to address this problem. CRIME NO CRIME is a criminal law game that educates people on the law, with an emphasis on educating our youth, who often fall victim to the criminal justice system simply because they do not know the law. CRIME NO CRIME focuses on laws that routinely result in criminal liability.

With CRIME NO CRIME, no longer will individuals be blindsided by the law. They will not only know types of conduct that constitutes a crime, but they will also know the ramifications associated with engaging in the conduct.

About the developers

CRIME NO CRIME was created by a family of lawyers that includes a criminal district court judge, prosecutor, criminal defense and corporate lawyers. They witnessed firsthand the devastating impact that not knowing the law had on individuals, families and their communities. They created CRIME NO CRIME to educate people on the law, believing when people know better, they do better.
